Before You Arrive

Please note that, as our buildings are Grade B listed, there are some limitations to the accessibility features we can provide. The information below outlines each of our accommodation options to help you select the most suitable room.

Main House:

• Bedrooms: We have 2 bedrooms located on the ground floor which can be accessed via a ramped side entrance if step-free access is required. These bedrooms are both wheelchair accessible. All other bedrooms are located on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd floors, there is no elevator in the Main House, so access is via the stairs. Most of our bedrooms have separate bath and shower in which grab rails can be installed on request.

• Public areas: The Main House Restaurant, Library Bar and Drawing Room are all located on the ground floor.

• Toilets: A fully accessible toilet is located on the ground floor.

Garden & Spa Suites

• Bedrooms: Five ground-floor suites are available; these are located next to the Stables Spa. Each suite contains a separate bedroom and living area. There is a small lip at the front door.

• Access to main hotel: Approximately a 3-minute walk to a flat path

Garden & Spa Cottages

• Bedrooms: We have 2, 2-bedroom cottages located next to the Stables Spa. Each cottage has 2 ensuite bedrooms on the ground floor which a lounge area on the first floor. There is a small lip at the front door leading into the conservatory

• Access to main hotel: Approximately a 3-minute walk to a flat path

Hilltops Reserves

• Bedrooms: Six ground-floor lodges are available; these are located a 5-minute drive or 10-minute walk from the hotel up a steep path. These lodges contain a fully equipped kitchen, separate living and bedroom areas. They come with their own private parking space; however this would not be suitable for a wheelchair user.

• Access to main hotel: Approximately a 10-minute walk uphill with several speed bumps. We recommend travelling by car between the buildings.

The Deck Restaurant

The Deck Restaurant is located on the first floor of the Stables Spa building, there is lift access from reception to the restaurant along with a public toilet located on the first floor.

The Stables Spa & Leisure Facilities

• Treatment Rooms: 4 treatment rooms located on the first floor of the spa building, there are all wheelchair accessible and can be accessed by stairs or lift. There are toilets located on the first floor.

• Leisure Facilities: In the Stables Spa we have a steam room, swimming pool, hot tub, sauna and gym. There is access into steam room for wheel-chair users, but the hot tub and swimming pool are accessed via steps. We have no hoist within the facilities. The gym is fully accessible via a ramp.

• Changing Rooms: There is an accessible changing room located on the ground floor, containing a shower, toilet and wash-hand basin. We’re always happy to talk through your needs. Getting Settled

When booking, we can provide guidance on where to park and how to access your accommodation. Our team will gladly collect your luggage from your car and deliver it to your room to help you settle in comfortably.
