The Restaurant

Menu

Robert prides himself in his use of the freshest most local produce in a way which develops and enhances the flavours and taste of the food. Local suppliers have been sourced and by working closely with them over a great deal of time we have forged relationships which insure the best Scottish Menus can be expected.

Breakfast is a unique combination of buffet and a la carte with cereals and fresh fruit available from the side board along with a comprehensive menu of Porridge and other starters. The cooked food is all served from the kitchen and a great deal of time and effort has been expended in developing a uniquely Eriska Experience.

Lunch can either be a simple fare of soup or sandwiches served throughout the ground floor of the mainhouse or a more complex and potentially healthier options at the Stables from 12.30-13.00 in the verandah Restaurant. This air-conditioned room also opens out onto a large balcony bar so that when the weather is favourable meals can be taken alfresco with wonderful views across the Firt of Lorne and the mountains of Kingairloch. The Verandah Restaurant also has daily changing specials which vary depending on the deliveries from the shell fish boats which land at the pier but there are always oysters, mussels and our own home smoked salmon available to tempt the palates.

Afternoon tea has long been a highlight of Eriska and since its inception has been included as part of the package. A wide choice of teas, coffees and herbal infusions is complemented with a daily changing array of pastries, cakes, scones and pancakes.

Dinner is seen by many as a highlight of the experience of Eriska, whilst very traditional in concept Robert and his team have been able to adapt and develop their menus to take into account the varying appetites. However at the centre of the kitchens aims are to produce tasty, healthy enjoyable menus which enhance rather than drown out the local flavours and history.

The menu changes on a daily basis and offers a choice of starters, a choice of main courses one of which is normally in the summer months a roasted joint of meat which is expertly carved at your table. Then a selection of desserts and a large range of ripe cheeses mostly from Britain but where international cheeses are available and we believe wil enhance our offering we have included them. The coffee, tablet and truffles are served in the hall along with a digestif insuring that you head to bed feeling complete but not overindulged!
