Robert MacPherson: Head Chef
Robert is a local boy hailing from Fort William where his parents still live. After initial training in Fort William and Inverness he worked his way round Scotland, initially under the guidance of Jeff Bland at the Caledonian and Cameron House and then under his own leadership at Darroch Laerg, Balbirnie and Auchrannie.
Robert joined the team at Eriska in 1997 and was immediately recognized with the award of 3 AA Rosettes and a mark of 7/10 in the Good Food Guide.
Robert is renowned for his dedication to using the freshest local produce and strives to develop relationships with the smaller more discriminating suppliers. Robert is also an authority on wild mushrooms and fungi and has a passion for training being closely involved in many of the local schools development activities.
