Jubilee Celebration Preparation
In truth , like many things at Eriska, they seem to creep up on us and despite continual remnding they all arrive before we are ready. So it seems with the Queens Diamond Jubilee and whilst i was on my way to collect the papers and passed a house covered in Union Jacks and bunting and pushed my way into the shop passed the stack of commemorative papers and magazines- it all suddenly hit home that the weekend was upon us.
I say this as we have been preparing for it for some time with our beacon on the hill awaiting the lighting on Monday at 10pm, although it will still be broad daylight if last night was anything to go by, the lawns , golf course and grounds are looking great and the house is ready for a full weekend. Hopefully the weather will hold out not only for us but also for the celebrations down south and if so ironically amybe the imnages will only be seen at night during news broadcasts and guests make the most use of the sunshine.
Anyway off to see if any of the guests can remember the coronation and if so to spread the joy and memories!
