Its a sad state of affairs when you are reminded that not only have we passed mid summer but that the days are now getting shorter. it must be even worse for those down south who are paddling in water when at least here we have some sunshine and dry evenings to enjoy. Anyway whilst the middle of summer may have passed we can still hope that the warmest driest days are before us although the golf course and lawns have enjoyed the watering they received over the weekend!

Today: After a dull start is will become brighter and mainly dry with more settled conditions towards the evening.

Monday: Staying mostly dry with partly cloudy skies. Lighter winds with some mist patches possible in the evening.

Tuesday: A fine bright day with some sunny spells. Most places dry though isolated showers may develop over towards the afternoon.

Wednesday: Quite warm with light winds in the morning but turning cloudy and damp in the afternoon evening.

Thursday:Cloudier than Wednesday with outbreaks of rain turning heavy and thundery.

Friday: Cloud and rain spreading slowly northeastwards through the day but by mid morning brighter at times and becoming warm and humid.

Saturday: Unsettled and often quite cloudy with showers or longer spells of rain, sometimes heavy.
