Weather 5th August

Having spent last week with a close eye on the weather as I was on the water keeping my fingers crossed for sunshine and wind I am afraid my predictions were slightly off course although we did have a fair bit of sunshine and showers we also had our share of rain and calm. However it did allow a sunny day for the Lorn Show as it returned to Benderloch and although i gather there was lots of sunburnt faces and dehydrated visitors this also meant the shop in the village did a roaring trade in sun cream and ice cream!

So whats ahead for this week?

Today: After a damp start the rain should desist and then simple occasional showers will push in with drier spells

Monday: A cloudy start with some drizzle, mist and hill fog, but this clearing during the morning, with some bright or sunny intervals developing. Occasional showers will develop, some heavy and thundery.

Tuesday: Showers becoming lighter and more isolated

Wednesday: Any mist patches will clear during the morning, then bright with sunny intervals and scattered showers, some heavy and thundery. Light winds

Thursday: Sunny intervals and scattered showers , some heavy,

Friday: Mainly dry and bright with light winds.

Saturday: back to sunshine and dry conditions
