Weather wc 12th August

12 August always sticks in my mind as one of the memorable dates- partly because it is the start of the Grouse Shooting Season and partly due to the relayed fact that one year I had the bright idea that we would celebrate this day with a full Grouse dinner. A Good idea in principle but mad if thought through as clearly any grouse served that say and shot that day will not be entirely edible and more importantly before putting such a concept in place it is best to think through all logistics including who will pluck the birds.

Sitting at the back door surrounded by feathers and trying to read an instruction manual will come as one of my great lessons of thinking before suggesting. the second lesson is that when someone denies knowledge of a task and ask s to be shown how to carry out the task on the fifth demonstration it should become clear that either they will never be able to carry out the task or they are having a laugh at you carrying out the task for them!-- I think the latter is more likely given that i was sitting at the back door and attracting quite a lot of attention!

So now onto today and the week aheads weather!

Today: Bright and sunny spells although cloud will push in later.

Bright with sunny spells to start but rain will push in later in the day .

Tuesday:Showers or some longer outbreaks of rain developing overnight will become more persistent through the day.

Wednesday: Cloudy with outbreaks of rain, some of the rain heavy and persistent, particularly over the hills.

Thursday: Rather cloudy with showers or the odd longer outbreak of rain. The rain will be heavy at times.

Friday: Continuing very unsettled with some sunny spells and showers but also longer spells of rain, probably most persistent over higher ground.

Saturday: Cooler but with some short-lived drier and brighter spells later in the day.
