Weather wc 23rd September
Having prepared for the worst with the equinox upon us and despite watching the trees bend outside the window it does look like this year we will have over emphasized the gales. Hopefully this will not be one of those Michael Fish forecasting moments that I will live to regret but seriously after a damp windy start to last week we finished with a couple of stunning days and the glass seems to be fairly stagnant in the settled dry sector- although all can change pretty quickly here!
So what really is ahead for this week at Eriska:
Today: Generally staying dry with some sunshine and clouds pushing in.
Monday: It will be another dry day and bright too with sunny spells. It will begin to cloud over from the south this evening. Freshening southeasterly winds
Tuesday: Cloudy with patchy rain during the morning, becoming more persistent and heavier during afternoon and evening.
Wednesday: Dry for much of the time with a few clear spells at first, then cloudy. Patchy light rain will develop later
Thursday:Heavy rain at first on then becoming drier with scattered showers Strong northeast winds slowly moderating
Friday: Generally unsettled and often windy conditions are expected to prevail for much of the day.
Saturday: It will certainly start to cool down with colder air bringing some wintry showers to higher ground but with it some drier conditions
